Clean your whipper properly

Not properly cleaning your whipper is the most common reason for unpleasant smells developing – especially when food and dairy residue remain in your whipper after serving your treats. Leave your whipper to dry thoroughly

Moist surroundings are a breeding ground for bacteria – and subsequently unpleasant smells. That’s why it’s important to leave all separate parts to dry thoroughly after you’ve cleaned them. Simply leave to air dry, or dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Correct storage

If you’re not using your whipper for longer periods of time, the right storage will make all the difference. To prevent bacteria and bad smells from developing, it’s best to store your iSi Whipper while still disassembled. We recommend storing the bottle and all other parts separately in a dry place, with plenty of ventilation.

Natural odor neutralizers

If even a deep clean won’t put an end to bad smells, common household items may be able to help. To neutralize odors inside your iSi Whipper, you can use a solution consisting of water and baking soda or bicarbonate of soda. Mix one part bicarbonate of soda with 10 parts of water. You can use this mixture as a cleaning liquid or – in case of particularly stubborn smells – soak the appliance’s head in it for up to one hour.
